This is a residential project designed for an Indian and Malaysian couple, who have lived in Dubai for more than 15 years. Therefore, the design would be a combination of cultures, leaning towards a contemporary yet clean outlook, with a few natural elements such as granite tops and timber flooring, rich color motifs from India, and some luxurious Moorish influence from Dubai.

The space is balanced by using tones that are not excessive to showcase the vibrant wallpaper requested by the client, as well as intricate pieces such as crystal pendants and wood trunk coffee table. With that, the furniture pieces are minimal, yet bold in terms of shape and colors, in order for the space to remain clean and not overwhelming.

The hot climate in Dubai causes the lifestyle there to lean towards indoor activity for cooling comfort. That is why Dubai interiors often contain a small garden and water features to provide a pleasant cooling effect throughout the house/building.

Malaysia, a tropical climate country, we decided to apply these elements into the living area, allowing sufficient natural lighting as well to achieve the ideal indoor environment.
